Walford Mill Wimborne Wedding Dorset

The images in this blog post are mainly high art edits with no normal colour images and with a few black and white images for the speeches and reportage. Allot of my clients opt for the triplicate of their wedding photos, colour, high art and black and white with each versions giving a completely different look.

Another wedding from 2017 and this was a first time at another new Dorset wedding venue, the Walford Mill in Wimborne. Bride prep for the bride to be with a really relaxed atmosphere and lots of laughs. Onto the church St Andrews at Kinson for groom arrival. Got some lovely photos of all the bridesmaids entering the church and of course the bride with her Father. St Andrews is one of those small churches that photographers are not always welcome at the location of the vows, so photographing from the back of the church during the ceremony was the order of the day. After the ceremony a few group shots and then onto some alone time shots of bride and groom at Knowlton church ruins.

The photos at Knowlton church ruins came out really well, and I managed to keep some picnic people out of shot, as this is a popular spot. knowlton, church, dorset, wedding knowlton, church, dorset, wedding knowlton, church, dorset, wedding knowlton, church, dorset, wedding knowlton, church, dorset, wedding knowlton, church, dorset, wedding knowlton, church, dorset, wedding knowlton, church, dorset, wedding knowlton, church, dorset, wedding knowlton, church, dorset, wedding Arriving in style at the Walford Mill in Wimborne with all the guests waiting on the happy couple’s arrival. Our detour to the Knowlton Church gave the guests plenty of time to gather and relax to be on mass to greet the new Mr & Mrs. Some gorgeous small details really setting the vintage theme, strings of pearls and lovely ornate jugs as center pieces, the Marquee looked the business.  Cream Tea was the order of the day and I was honored to be invited to be seated at one of the tables and able to indulge.  walford, mill, wimborne, wedding, dorset walford, mill, wimborne, wedding, dorset

Dorset Wedding Photographers In Devon

Winter is here, and a visit to the rugged North coast of Devon for two intrepid Dorset wedding photographers for a weekend working. For the big day the wind did blow and the cold was cold blowing off the Irish Sea and nobody really braved the out doors too long. We did how ever get some truly stunning images including the great out doors! I have had strong winds before and as a wedding photographer I am more than happy to work with the elements to my advantage, and here I got the best out of the hard situation. Top marks go to the bride and groom as they braved the cold but the love and alcohol kept them warm and a bit of air brushing of the hair being blown around in all kind of wrong positions they have perfect dramatic photos from their day.

Singing waiters, much dancing, much laughter, an ace day!

Parley Manor Wedding Dorset – J & A

Parley Manor 2017 was my most visited wedding venue in Dorset for 2017 wedding photography. It truly is the most beautiful garden marquee venue in Dorset, if not the South of England, with two marquees, one for the ceremony and the other for the wedding breakfast and evening reception, so combined the weather cant beat it. Many acres to enjoy with immaculately kept gardens and the team on site are extremely well organised and efficient and an absolute joy to work with. I find the staff there keep me well informed of what is going on and they always know where I am to let me know of various points through the day. Finish all this off with the more than average sunshine due to the venue’s close location to the coast and we have the ultimate wedding venue.

Joe & Alice’s day was bathed in sunshine and was a truly enjoyable day with so many smiles and so much love and a great guest list for me to photograph throughout the day in the most relaxed reportage manor possible. The finished style of images here is varied to say the least with all sorts of post edited tints and my favorite black and white finished as I used to like my prints to look like in the darkroom over twenty years ago. We made full use of the grounds at Parley Manor and as well as using the wonderful immaculate surroundings, I also love to use the very natural looking flora. Over all a fully detailed story of the day.

Canford School Church & Yenton Hotel Dorset wedding – J & V

What a lovely wedding day in high summer for Yenton hotel bride prep, then onto the Canford school church in Dorset which is one of my favorite churches to attend with its architecture and river location. Bride & Groom had given me a brief of having some really dramatic style images though out the day so I managed to get these for the shots of the two of them. Got some lovely images inside the church during the ceremony, was asked to stay well out the way by the Vicar and Verger so I was hiding during the vows and just about managed to get the all important first kiss and thankfully the Vicar didn’t stand too much in the way! Some Vicars are nice and remember to stand clear for that shot.

Bride and groom also asked me for a couple of fun group shots and I was happy to oblige.

I always try my best to get shots of the wedding venue in the background of a few of the shots and this day was no different with an excellent dramatic shot of bride and groom  outside the church. More dramatic shots were to follow down on the beach that the bride and groom requested and we had beautiful lighting for some very awesome photos!

Really chilled and relaxed back at the hotel and I feel I have captured that mood in the black and white reportage shots of guests all enjoying themselves in the sunshine. Lots of wonderful for ever memories here , and one very proud Dorset wedding photographer
